Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken (2023)

Now TV, from Friday 9th February. Dir: Kirk DeMicco, Faryn Pearl. Starring: Jane Fonda, Lana Condor, Toni Colette.

A shy adolescent learns that she comes from a fabled royal family of legendary sea krakens and that her destiny lies in the depths of the waters, which is bigger than she could have ever imagined.

Dario Argento: Panico (2023)

Shudder, from Friday 2nd February. Dir: Simone Scafidi. Starring: Dario Argento, Fiore Argento, Vittorio Cecchi Gori.

In the secluded ambience of hotel rooms, Dario Argento crafted his greatest cinematic creations, seeking solace from the outside world to delve into his nightmares. Now, he finds himself in a hotel room to return to the very setting that ignited his creative fervour to conclude his latest script and participate in an intimate interview, all while being followed by a film crew documenting his life for a movie about his illustrious career.

Insidious: The Red Door (2023)

Now TV, from Friday 2nd February. Dir: Patrick Wilson. Starring: Ty Simpkins, Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne.

The Lamberts must go deeper into The Further than ever before to put their demons to rest once and for all.

Django (1966)

Shudder, from Thursday 1st February. Dir: Sergio Corbucci. Starring: Franco Nero, Jose Canalejas, Jose Bodalo.

A coffin-dragging gunslinger and a prostitute become embroiled in a bitter feud between a Klan of Southern racists and a band of Mexican Revolutionaries.

Manhattan Baby (1982)

Shudder, from Thursday 1st February. Dir: Lucio Fulci. Starring: Christopher Connelly, Laura Lenzi, Brigitta Boccoli.

An archaeologist opens an Egyptian tomb and accidentally releases an evil spirit. His young daughter becomes possessed by the freed entity and, upon arrival back in New York, the gory murders begin.
