Pontypool (2008)

A radio host interprets the possible outbreak of a deadly virus which infects the small Ontario town he is stationed in.

Renfield, Dracula’s henchman and inmate at the lunatic asylum for decades, longs for a life away from the Count, his various demands, and all of the bloodshed that comes with them.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters: Season 1

Apple TV, from Friday 17th November. Starring: Christopher Heyerdahl, Mari Yamamoto, Jess Salgueiro.

Set after the battle between Godzilla and the Titans, revealing that monsters are real, follows one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to Monarch.

Berberian Sound Studio (2012)

Shudder, from Monday 13th November. Dir: Peter Strickland. Starring: Toby Jones, Antonio Mancino, Guido Adorni.

A sound engineer’s work for an Italian horror studio becomes a terrifying case of life imitating art.

The Wretched (2019)

Shudder, from Monday 13th November. Dirs: Brett Pierce & Drew T. Pierce. Starring: John-Paul Howard, Piper Curda, Jamison Jones.

A defiant teenage boy, struggling with his parents’ imminent divorce, faces off with a thousand year-old witch, who is living beneath the skin of and posing as the woman next door.
