We are absolutely delighted to announce that we will be partnering with the amazing folk at the Dead Northern Film Festival which returns next month!
The festival will run for three days from Friday 29th September to Sunday 1st October at the City Screen Picturehouse in York — which is of course the UK’s most haunted city.
The full line up has now been unveiled, and includes a whole bunch of new feature and short films as well as classic horrors celebrating milestone anniversaries.
Folk horror will take centre stage on the Friday with a 50th anniversary screening of Robin Hardy’s The Wicker Man and a carefully selected group of folk horror shorts. Following that, LHS Founder Chris Nials will be hosting a special folk horror discussion that will feature a panel of special guests.
And to close out the Friday, we’re inviting horror fanatics from far and wide to our special Indie Horror Mixer for a night to connect and socialise with your fellow independent horror fans and creators!
Whether you’re a seasoned horror aficionado or a curious newbie, at our first ever York Mixer you’ll have the perfect opportunity to connect with friendly and talented people, and share your passion for all things spooky.
It will run from 10:00pm till late, giving you plenty of time to grab a drink, mingle and make new friends in the horror community. What’s more, all members of LHS Pro can get their mixer ticket for just £2, and festival VIP passholders can get in free!
You can get your tickets and passes now from the Dead Northern Film Festival website. We can’t wait to see you there!
