Over the past decade, the London Horror Society has been steadfast in its commitment to supporting independent horror, and we are immensely grateful for the dedication and passion of our members.
Their shared enthusiasm has enabled us to provide valuable assistance to the likes of filmmakers, writers, crew members, fringe theatre producers and more. And it’s through their unwavering support that has now enabled us to take the next step in our journey.
We are extremely lucky that our community is enriched by members from all corners of the UK, which has played a pivotal role in prompting this change.
So after more than ten years of celebrating indie horror as The London Horror Society, we are proud to announce that as of today, we are rebranding ourselves as The Independent Horror Society!
This name change reflects our evolution beyond the boundaries of London and our commitment to uniting horror lovers from across the UK and beyond.
As we move into 2024, we’re poised to take our commitment to new heights as we expand our presence to even more towns and cities. Our events and community outreach will extend further, creating more opportunities for all of you to create, share, and love indie horror.
We couldn’t have reached this significant milestone without your support, and the past ten years have been a true testament to your collective dedication to the genre. Your passion and commitment have allowed so many creators to grow and evolve, and for that we are truly thankful.
So here’s to The Independent Horror Society, and all of the people that continue to make the UK horror community the incredibly inspiring and supportive place that it is today.
