Here at The Independent Horror Society, we are dedicated to celebrating and promoting the talented individuals from all over the UK who contribute to the captivating world of horror.
Over the past few months, we’ve been building a new centralised hub for the UK creative horror industries, that we hope will help connect current and aspiring professionals from every corner of the genre. Whether you’re a film crew member or fledgling writing talent, we want to bring you together with everyone else who has a passion for all things spine-chilling and macabre.
And now, we’re delighted to announce that The Independent Horror Society Directory is ready to accept free listings!
We want the LHS Directory to be the go-to resource for directors, producers, writers and any other industry professionals who are seeking talented individuals across the entire creative spectrum to help bring their terrifying visions to life.
We firmly believe in the power of collaboration and recognise that the horror genre thrives when diverse voices and talents come together. By uniting everyone with a shared love for horror, we can foster an environment where new connections are formed, skills are shared, and exciting opportunities arise.
Whether you’re searching for your first experience, your next big project or are just looking to expand your network within the UK horror film community, the LHS Directory will serve as your invaluable resource. We want it to be a place where ideas are exchanged, collaborations are forged, and careers are propelled forward.
Adding a listing inside the IHS Directory is 100% free to all. You’ll then be searchable to all of the members inside IHS Pro, our premium subscription service stacked full of passionate horror fans, professionals, and industry insiders who actively seek out both seasoned and new collaborators.
Here’s how it works:
Simply click here to be taken to the directory submission form, where you can submit your details including your name, contact information, area of expertise, what sort of roles you’re looking for and a brief introduction to your work.
And very importantly, this is open to folk of all experience levels, so even if you’re just starting out on your journey, you’re more than welcome to submit!
Once your listing is approved (inside 48 hours), your details will be searchable by our IHS Pro members, providing you with an incredible opportunity to showcase your skills to our highly engaged creators. Please do not use this section to choose the roles you are looking for or wish to be contacted about. You’ll get to do that in the “Open To Work As A…” section.
Easy one, this. Please provide your name, or a moniker that you wish to be known as.
This is where you get to choose every potential role or opportunity that you’d like to be contacted about.
Feel free to choose as many or as few as you’d like, however we recommend a maximum of 5, just to keep your listing as concise and easy to digest as possible.
Please select the closest location to your “home base” that’s listed. However please do specify if you’re willing to travel and/or work remotely in the “Description” section.
Please use this to provide a link to your personal website, showreel, IMDB/Mandy/Backstage page, or whatever you consider to be your primary “shop window” page!
Social media links are absolutely fine too.
You can also ignore the “link text” box if you don’t wish to use it.
Please use this section to tell us as much about yourself as you’d like. This is where you really get to paint a picture about yourself, so recommend you be as thorough as you can.

Before your directory entry is listed, it will need to be approved by the LHS team. This is to prevent spam, and to ensure each entry is legitimate. We expect the approval process to take no more than 48 hours.
Yes absolutely. To have your listing removed, simply email pro.help@londonhorrorsociety.co.uk and we’ll remove it along with any relevant data.
The directory listings and the data provided will only be viewable to members of the LHS team and members of the LHS Pro service.
