How To Get Involved In The 666 Film Challenge Without A Team

In case you hadn’t already heard, our 666 Film Challenge is returning for a second year!

The challenge is to create a short horror film in just 66 hours and 6 minutes over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May.

You can use any medium you like, including film, animation, claymation, stop motion, and more. We’re looking for innovative and original ideas that will leave our judges on the edge of their seats. The only limit, is time.

666 is open to people of all skill levels and all mediums. Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or a first-time horror creator, this is your chance to show off your skills!

If you want to get involved in 666 but don’t have a team, here’s how we can help!

It’s been so great to see so many teams from last year return for a second stab, which we’re hoping is testament to the fun that can be had! But what if you really want to take part but don’t have anyone to collaborate with? We can help you with that in a few ways:

  1. Grab yourself a free ticket to our Speed Pitching event on Tuesday, 7th May at 7:30pm. We’ll be dedicating part of this session to people that want to potentially find 666 co-conspirators, so come along, tell us a bit about yourself and we’ll see if we can hook you up with some people!
  2. Shameless plug alert, but you could find some teammates inside the IHS Pro Discord server. You can grab a month of membership for just £4.99, and what’s more, Pro members get a 50% discount on the 666 entry fee — so you’re making a chunk of that membership fee back straightaway!
  3. And last but not least — email us and let us know! Just tell us your name, whereabouts you’re located (and where you’re willing to travel to), if you have any experience in any areas of filmmaking that might be useful to other potential team mates. Then we can get our matchmaking heads on!  Remember – you DO NOT need experience to be a great team mate. 666 is open to ALL experience levels!

And of course, if you have any other questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the team. We’re here to help you in any way we can 🙂
